About Me
Anna Smilek is the 2026 Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Champion, a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, performer, and Ottawa Valley step dancer from Waterloo, Ontario.
From Canadian traditional fiddling to classical performance, Anna’s musical life is rooted in improvisation, collaboration and community. A Wilfrid Laurier University Music graduate and accomplished fiddler and violist, she performs across Canada while helping build a thriving traditional music community at home in Waterloo.
